Proposed Draft Agenda

(Please note that I am overly ambitious so you can cut out activities. No times specified yet) : Clare

DAY 1: 12th December 2007

Session: Morning

  • Introduce the workshop.
    • Provide brief background on itrainers
    • Go over housekeeping details, such as refreshments, breaks, restroom locations, and  rules.
  • Self Introductions by participants:

  • Methodology : Speed Networking

Very interesting methodology that allows participants to get to know each other better in a more relaxed manner. Participants are requested to pair up and take about 3 minutes to get to know each other. After three minutes a bell is sounded (or music plays) for participants to pair up with someone new. After another 3 minutes, the bell sounds and participants pair up again with someone new. Final round then participants are invited back to their seats.

Although participants can say what interests them, here are some tips on what should comprise the conversation

        • Hello, my name is _________________ I am from ______________
        • One thing that I would like to get out of this workshop is _________
        • What excites me most about this workshop is _______.
      • Review agenda and workshop goals.
        • Methodology: Open Space Technology because it provides participants an opportunity to co-create agenda of the event. It gives opportunity for people to think about what care about and matters them most. In this way, it promotes participatory approach where participants have their influence in planning the flow of the sessions.

Session: Afternoon

Concentrate on workshop questions:

Methodology: World café because provides an opportunity in which participants are invited to take part in conversation rounds exploring one theme. It is effective to identify issues and main ideas around a general topic. Whatever discussed will be recorded into a wiki or blog

Rotating questions will be;

·         Which Web 2.0 tools are relevant and appropriate for different training audiences?

·         Which tools and applications should the training activities focus on and why?

  • Which skills and knowledge do you yourself as a trainer need in order to design and Deliver effective Web 2.0 training programmes?
