- Web2.0 hype is in danger of becoming out of fashion.
- for example, wikis are not web 2.0
- term web2.0 is trademarked
other terms/titles:
- collaborative web
- social networking
- social software
The name should imply a very important movement which is a shift in:
shift in:
- the way we work (together)
- new medium
- producers-consumers
- making information streams more efficient

"We would like to introduce online tools which facilitate a new way of thinking and working together, via the web." Also tools like phone, or other non web tools.

- rss/newsreaders/aggregators
in the future, units on:
- tagging
- podcasts (video, audio)
- VOIP
- IM
- vlogs
- maybe Dgroups
- maybe CMSes which include several 'web2.0' tools together (Drupal supports blogs, wiki feature, zope/plone as well)
- photosharing
Risks of 'web2.0'
- storing data on remote servers (unsustainable, future costs, insecurities)
Opportunities
- chaotic, exploration pocess
- There is not right or wrong way to blog - creative dynamic
Challenges
- changing of mindsets
- overwheming, chaotic, messy "It moves with you"
- Is it a question of volume adding value? need for collaborateurs for real added value; risks of working with too many people
