The organization was undergoing reform and a lot restructuring was required, which meant that new staff needed to be recruited.

5. ACTION (sequence of events before, during and after your turning point)

In the same organization I was working as PA to the Managing Director although my ambition was to become a trainer but at the same time develop capacity in technical computer skill – techie. Through the Managing Director, I had started getting a few lessons in computer hardware.

And the turning point was the moment when the operations of the organization came to a halt due to some reasons I didn’t know. A lot of restructuring needed to be done and like already mentioned, there was need to recruit new staff.

All the employees of the organization had to be sent back home apart from those who were in the training department.

At this time I somehow realized that my job was on the line. It is then that I decided to contact Lynda Chalker who in actually vowed to assist me. It was within a spell of a week that I then received a call from the organization that I had been considered for a job but this time as a trainer.

From then onwards, my involvement became rewarding, as I got opportunities that made me who I am today.

6. RESOLUTION (ending including lesson(s) learned or message)

In my involvement I have learned a lot. My capacities have been enhanced and increased my ICT skills that I never had before. I have also met a lot of very resourceful people.
